Guidelines to Follow:

The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens (DABG) are open to the public every day of the year. Please help us preserve a safe, peaceful, and friendly for each of our guests, and a secure habitat for our plants and wildlife, by heeding these few simple rules.
- Picking, disturbing, or removing plants or plant material ( including flowers, vegetables, fruit, or seeds) or signage, plant labels, or containers, is not permitted anywhere on the Gardens property.
- Park in designated areas only, and obey directional signs. Only strollers, wheelchairs, and power chairs are allowed within the Gardens perimeters.
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Please stay on designated pathways and mowed lawn areas at all times and do not block pathways or access for other visitors.
- Please do not wade or swim in the ponds, streams, or other water features.
- Alcoholic beverages are allowed only within permitted picnic areas or within permitted groups/events.
- Bicycles, rollerblading, skateboarding, use of scooters and use of drones, are not permitted.
- Dogs are allowed in the Gardens as long as they are people-friendly and kept on a leash. Any waste they produce should be collected and disposed of in the receptacles provided at the beginning of the trail.
- The wildlife in the Gardens, including fish, birds, reptiles, mammals, and insects, are protected. Please keep a respectable distance and do not harass or approach our wild residents. Fishing is not allowed.
- As a courtesy to our guests, please avoid playing audio equipment such as radios, CD, DVD, or MP3 players out loud.
- Smoking and fireworks of any kind are prohibited.
- Firearms or weapons of any kind are not permitted.
- Lastly, our most important rule is that you ENJOY YOUR VISIT!
